Can Real Madrid Overturn Their Fortunes Against Borussia Dortmund?

Group F has been one of the high scoring groups in the Champions League thanks to Borussia Dortmund’s six goal thriller against Legia Warsaw in the opening matchday. Dortmund has not lost a game after their shock defeat to Leipzig on the second matchday of the Bundesliga season. Opponents Real Madrid has drawn their last two games in La Liga and dwelling on their abysmal performance against Signal Iduna, a win would be well-received by the Madridistas. Who would carry the day?
Thomas Tuchel and Zinedine Zidane are two different managers but they both love to win. Zidane has come under the radar for lack of summer spending that has seen Real Madrid’s selection and team play below the teams requested rhythm.
It took a last minute cross from James Rodriguez to save the day for Real Madrid but Madrid would not be so fortunate against Dortmund especially at the Signal Iduna stadium.

Mario Gotze is back after three successive Champions League semi-finals defeat at the hands of Spanish oppositions. Gotze was part of the Dortmund squad that demolished Real Madrid and he would love to get one over the old enemy.

Thomas Tuchel has turned Dortmund into an attacking beast with Dembele and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang’s form among the best in Europe.

On the other hand, the experimenting of the midfield and attack of Real Madrid still lingers on. After the injury to Casemiro, the team has not been winning the midfield battles and there’s no creativity in the attacking third. Sergio Ramos has been a great center back but little can be said of Raphael Varane whose complacency might be detrimental to Madrid’s quest for glory this season.

This match would show Real Madrid’s fans if the team is ready to defend their European record or it would be a game that Tuchel proves himself as one of the best managers in the modern game.

The other group game has to deal with Sporting Lisbon and Legia Warsaw. Legia Warsaw conceded six at home to Dortmund and Sporting undeservingly lost to Real Madrid.

Legia Warsaw has been put into a group that seems to give the technical team headache every matchday but nothing can be done. The world waits for an upset but would Legia beat Sporting Lisbon on the road?

Prediction: Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid (Dortmund Win)
Prediction: Sporting Lisbon vs Legia Warsaw (Sporting Lisbon Win)
