Manchester United faces Zorya in the second group game of the UEFA Europa League. Jose Mourinho’s men lost away to Feyenoord on the first match day and would be looking to make amends for their flaws on the opening matchday. Zorya lies second on the log of the Ukranian league with 25 points from 9 games whiles Manchester United lies sixth with 12 points. Mourinho’s lads responded well in their match against Leicester City with the most expensive player on the planet scoring. Is Zorya a stroll in the park for Manchester United or would the team provide a surprise?
Jose Mourinho has not been in the UEFA Europa League for a very long time after overseeing FC Porto’s win in 2003 and therefore it is understandable if he is not finding his feet in the second tier of club competitions. Every game counts for Mourinho and the shift of Juan Mata into his traditional role of playing behind the striker has so far yielded results as Manchester United has been dedicating play, holding possession and creating chances.

Marcus Rashford has been in scintillating form and he would be looking forward to lead the line. Rashford has been on the sidelines because of Zlatan Ibrahimovic but his impact has been felt particularly in matches against Hull City and Leicester City and if he is given more playing time he would be the man to lead Manchester United in the coming seasons.

Zorya won their last league game beaten Vorksla 2-1 and climbing to 25 points trailing leaders Shaktar Donetsk by four points. After their 1-1 draw with Fenerbahce Zorya has been seen as a team that can cause a major upset and can snatch second place. With two successive wins, it seems Manchester United are the next test for Zorya, an opportunity they relish because an upset against Manchester United at Old Trafford would take the club’s name to new heights in the game of football.

This is a game Manchester United fans are looking forward to because it has a lot of goals written all over it but would Zorya cause an upset?
